Description :	Ces quatre tapisseries représentent : Renaud endormi porté par Armide et une de ses suivantes dans un char attelé de deux coursiers, Charles et Ubald à la Fontaine du rire, Renaud dans les bras d'Armide, et enfin, Renaud voit son image dans le bouclier de diamant. La première pièce de la série (Armide sur le point de poignarder Renaud endormi est arrêté par l'Amour) est manquante.

Historique :	Ces tapisseries ont été exécutées après 1630, dans l'atelier de Raphaël de la Planche, et peut-être aux Galeries du Louvre, d'après les peintures exécutées par Simon Vouet à l'Hôtel Bullion. Elles ont été restaurées par les ateliers des Gobelins en 1942-1944.
